T9k is a duo group that stands for two-born-kings, which the number 9 comes from being that its 9 months of pregnancy before a new life, the group claims to be the new voice of the south. A duo out of Morehead City, a small city in North Carolina located on the east coast, its hard to be recognized being from a small town, but T-9-K makes a small town stand out with there music. A different style, very original; the music is based on their lifestyle growing up in MHC, the struggle and the trials and tribulations they have been through. Now T-9-K is only two rappers Philla (C.Edwards20) and Ski (A.jones22) with beat production from ski and philla, with help from J.stubbs, and odeezy from head fake productions. Some radio play for songs such as “can’t be ya man” on 97.3 in Wilmington, NC but they don’t promote south music too mch so thegroup just focuses on mix tapes. Such mix tapes like Dj Barry Bee’s hooked on gangster music which is a real popular mix tape in NC. One goal in mind, which is to put their city on the map, get respect, and take their family out the struggle; the group goes hard on every track, expressing their pain through the music and streets. T-9-K also has dropped and album called Time Will Tell that sold 2,ooo units local and that’s pretty good for a first album around their hood which has a big racist society and hate. T-9-K has also been on the slip-n-slide street team where they had the Hot single “Fresh” on their webpage for people to vote for artist to get signed. T-9-k has also opened up for young cash, and lil daddy and Mario of M.O.E in Atlantic beach, NC when they came to our hometown for a show. T-9-K is a dirty south based group with lots of potential and is on a mission that will not be stopped so be looking for that logo to be coming to a hood near you.
